Volunteers are the backbone of the Port Arthur Juneteenth Celebration. Whether you can give a few hours or all three days, your help is invaluable.

Event Setup June 18 — 7:00 AM
Parade Coordination June 19 — 8:00 AM
Information Booths All 3 Days
Event Cleanup June 21 — After 9:00 PM
Minimum Age 16 years old

All volunteers receive a commemorative t-shirt and celebration credentials. Training sessions will be held the week before the event.

Vendor Applications

The Heritage Festival Vendor Market is one of the most anticipated parts of the celebration. We welcome food vendors, artisans, nonprofits, and community organizations.

Setup Time 7:00 AM each day

All food vendors must hold a valid Jefferson County food handler permit. Vendors are responsible for their own equipment, tents, and supplies. Electricity hookups are limited — request in your application.

Yes! All major events including the parade, concerts, and festival are free and open to the public. Some special programming may have limited capacity requiring advance registration.
Free parking is available at the Port Arthur Civic Center, nearby city lots, and designated overflow areas. Shuttle service will run from major parking areas to event venues on all three days.
Absolutely. The Port Arthur Juneteenth Celebration is designed for all ages. There will be dedicated children's activity areas, family picnic spaces, and programming suitable for all generations.
Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome at most outdoor venues. Glass containers are not permitted. Alcohol is not allowed at any public event space. We have a large variety of food vendors available throughout the celebration.

The Port Arthur Juneteenth Celebration is organized by the Port Arthur Cultural Coalition in partnership with the City of Port Arthur, Jefferson County, and Port Arthur ISD, along with dozens of community volunteers and sponsors.
